Position Overview: Responsible for providing professional services to our guests with their individual needs always considered. Must have knowledge of all services, packages and products listed in the current brochure. Responsible for maintaining continuing education in order to consistently provide their guests with world-class service. Responsible for pre-setting and re-setting each treatment room and complying with all daily assigned duties. Therapists are also required to keep accurate, daily records of services that they have provided.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee must be able to see, hear, talk, sit, bend, kneel and crouch. The employee must be able to stand for an extended period of time. The employee must be able to lift and move 20 pounds, with reasonable accommodations. The employee is required to use their hands, and therefore must exhibit dexterity with respect to their position.
Work Environment: The work environment described is characteristic of what an employee should encounter while performing the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to complete the required tasks.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to, and must engage in interpersonal relations with guests. The employee must walk and climb stairs. The noise level of the area is frequently lower than that of a normal conversation level. The employee may be exposed to heat or water as a part of the guest’s treatment.
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: Must have current Georgia license, national certification and Liability Insurance in good standing. Continuing education is key. Within 2-3 years of hire, all Equani massage therapists must have post-graduate certifications in deep tissue, hot stone massage, reflexology, Shiatsu and Reiki. The time frame for post-graduate work is as follows: to complete a minimum of 40 hours of deep tissue, 24 hours of stones, 24 hours of reflexology, 40 hours of Shiatsu, and Levels 1 & 2 of Reiki. All post-graduate certifications must be through a Nationally Certified, Category A provider unless approved by Spa Director. Distance learning will not be recognized.
Other Qualifications: Must be bright and personable and be able to work as part of a team. Should be highly service oriented, posses exemplary personal skills and be well organized. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Should be able to understand Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa’s objectives and have the potential to achieve employee and departmental goals.
