Food and Beverage Host/Hostess

Department: F & B
Location: Young Harris, GA

**Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the Outlet Manager, the Food and Beverage Host/Hostess is responsible for making reservations, greeting guests, and handling all transactions.

**Qualifications:**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include knowledge, skills, and abilities, with accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.

**Responsibilities:**
- Checking the restaurant for proper set-up upon arrival
- Seating guests following station rotation
- Removing extra silverware from tables when necessary
- Assisting in bussing tables and re-seating guests as directed
- Handling cashier duties in a hospitable manner
- Operating the point of sale (POS) machine effectively
- Taking restaurant reservations accurately
- Maintaining cleanliness and stocking supplies in the work area

**Education and/or Experience:**
High school diploma or equivalent education, with relevant experience or training, or a combination of both.

**Mathematical Skills:**
Capability in basic arithmetic operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

**Reasoning Ability:**
Applying common sense to carry out instructions provided in various formats.

**Physical Demands:**
The employee will be required to walk, stand, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and lift or move up to 20 pounds regularly.

**Work Environment:**
Moderate noise levels are typical in the work environment
